On November 4, 2020, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council K. Mami hosted the Head of the GIZ Representative Office in Kazakhstan, Mr. J. Pudelka. K. Mami stressed the effectiveness of long-term cooperation between Kazakhstan and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The interlocutors especially noted the dynamically developing relations between the two states in the legal sphere. Since independence, GIZ experts
have provided useful methodological support in the implementation of judicial and legal reform in the country. Another successful project in this regard is the recently adopted Administrative Procedural Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which introduces a completely new institution for Kazakhstan - administrative justice. I remember very well our joint work on its project in the Supreme Court, said K. Mami. The Chairman of the Constitutional Council expressed his appreciation to Mr. Pudelka for the fruitful cooperation in ensuring the regime of constitutional legality in the country. GIZ's expert opinions on the appeals considered by the Council contributed to a comprehensive study of issues and
the adoption of optimal decisions. Mr. Pudelka took an active part in the International online conference and other events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The parties expressed confidence in the successful continuation of cooperation in modern areas of legal modernization. Following the meeting, K. Mami presented J. Pudelka with a state award - the Order of Dostyk, II degree, which he was awarded by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his significant contribution to the establishment of the principles of constitutionalism, strengthening peace and cooperation between states.
